Brown & Brown's Risk Solutions, formerly known as Beecher Carlson is looking for an Actuarial Analyst to join the Risk Optimization Group in Atlanta, GA or remotely.

The Actuarial Analyst will work closely with the Chief Actuary and others in the actuarial group to assist in providing high-quality customer service to assigned clients while increasing knowledge of actuarial profession and working towards Associate and Fellow actuarial designations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Conducts actuarial studies as requested by client; not limited to analysis, reserving and risk assessment to estimate financial outcomes.
  • Applies knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculations in casualty insurance.
  • Obtain, input, and summarize large databases for use in actuarial studies.
  • Follow-up as necessary with clients and managers to ensure studies are complete and delivered within deadlines.
  • Organize and document work so that others may follow up as necessary and trace the flow of work performed to date.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance or similar field.
  • Must possess or be actively pursuing an Associate, Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) designation.
  • Minimum of 0-5 years actuarial and/or insurance experience
  • Superior communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Programming skills (SQL, VBA) strong plus
