This hybrid role be responsible for defending and increasing and revenue alongside senior members of our Construction and Engineering Global Practice Group and MEC team.

About the Role

This hybrid role be responsible for defending and increasing and revenue alongside senior members of our Construction and Engineering Global Practice Group and MEC team.

As a member of the broking team you will be responsible for:
  • Analysing clients' reinsurance requirements via collecting and analyse information to identify risk transfer solutions.
  • Providing advice on placement design, available coverage capacity, likely pricing, potential coverage enhancements and market progress within scope of responsibility.
  • Negotiating the best prices and marketing drawing on existing knowledge and expertise.
  • Reviewing and quality checking reinsurance documentation at a pre-determined stage in the process to establish whether the selected product accurately reflects clients' reinsurance requirements.
  • On-going client satisfaction, including resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways.
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of new reinsurance opportunities and increasing revenue with existing clients.
  • Supporting project groups and contributing to business strategies to deliver strategic growth initiatives and competitive tenders.

About you
  • Minimum of 5 years of appropriate reinsurance broking or technical and analytical underwriting experience including project and account management experience on mid to large accounts.
  • Developed negotiation skills.
  • Inspires commitment and action in others (both internally and externally) through strong communication skills.
  • Considers the underwriter's perspective to adapt approach
  • Invests time and resource in Research & Development to find new products/solutions to meet clients' needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
