What can you expect in this role?
• Work with insurance Claims VPs & Directors, Actuarial and Insurance Risk teams to drive insurance claims handling insights and
impact while supporting Claims in their action planning and resolution
• Lead a team of highly technical and/or professionally insurance designated staff while promoting a strong risk and control environment
• Develop and manage the insurance claims technical file review program
• Ensure all reviewers (Claims Leaders, Claims Technical Advisors, Claims Quality Assurance) are calibrated to ensure
consistent approach in reviewing claim files
• Obtain agreement with Claims Leaders and Claims Technical Advisors on establishing best-in-class standards to audit against minimum thresholds
• Lead a Claims Quality Assurance review team while supporting their development to ensure team objectives are met
• Modernize approaches to technical file reviews by incorporating data analytics to measure and monitor adherence to regulatory
and company standards
• Provide advisory and consultative services on claims file management, claims process effectiveness, risk management and
control on new initiatives, process changes, existing processes and ad hoc requests
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions in partnership with Claims, Actuarial, Risk, IT, Legal & Compliance,
Finance & Underwriting
• Foster awareness of the company's policies and procedures through regular communication, training and employee engagement
• Monitor emerging best practices in risk management, audit and controls to improveEconomical's ability to identify, assess,
mitigate, govern and report

What do you bring to the role?
• 10+ years of experience in P&C claims handling either as a leader or Claims Technical Specialist
• Experience in/strong exposure to: audit, risk management, regulatory compliance, processes and controls
• Strong understanding of business operations and related legislative, regulatory, and internal policy and procedure requirements
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships externally and internally with all levels to help foster a positive compliance culture
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word
• Strong organizational, planning skills and critical problem-solving skills

Salary range is $74,100 - $136,500
