  • Utilize your expertise in life product valuation, including IUL, UL, BOLI, term, and whole life, to drive accurate and insightful modeling in AXIS.
  • Take the helm in quarterly and annual reporting, ensuring that our senior management has access to comprehensive and actionable insights.
  • Cultivate your people management skills, guiding your team with confidence and providing mentorship to help them reach their full potential.
  • Serve as a key resource for cross-functional collaboration, lending your subject matter expertise to areas such as risk and capital management, investments, pricing, marketing, compliance, legal, and IT.
  • Immerse yourself in our product portfolio, developing a deep understanding of both current offerings and past iterations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Appointed Actuary, offering support and contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Document valuation results meticulously, presenting them to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.

Requirements

What you need to be successful

Are you ready to thrive in a role that celebrates your expertise and leadership? To excel in this position, you'll need:

  • A bachelor's degree, along with FSA or ASA credentials, as these will serve as the foundation for your success.
  • A minimum of eight years in the actuarial field, providing you with the depth of experience necessary to navigate the complexities of our industry.
  • At least two years of hands-on valuation experience, specifically focused on life products, ensuring that you're well-equipped to tackle the challenges that come your way.
  • Familiarity with dividend-paying whole life products and the ability to adjust dividend scales, allowing you to make informed decisions that drive our business forward.
  • Experience with Axis is a plus, providing you with a valuable tool to streamline your work and enhance your effectiveness.
  • A demonstrated ability to take initiative, stay organized, and lead projects autonomously. Your self-starter mentality will be instrumental in driving innovation and progress within our team.
