Equity Release Manager

Salary: Circa £85,000 (depending on experience)

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to help the Equity Release Mortgage (ERM) business with building and driving initiatives to improve the performance of Retirement Solutions.

This is a varied role which will provide the successful candidate with a range of opportunities to learn and develop while driving projects that will create value for Aviva.

A bit about the job:

You will be responsible for providing high quality and flexible support to the Hof Securitisation in a range of areas that may include leading on specific initiatives relating to securitisation of ERMs, funding for the ERM portfolio, ongoing management including new issuance of the securitisation of UKLAP ERM business, and the ongoing management of ERFs and building society deals.

To be successful in this role you will need to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external counterparties, be accountable for managing multiple workstreams across supporting teams to deliver the tasks assigned and identify and manage risk within the projects assigned and the wider ERM securitisations.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Qualified actuary or accountant but consideration will be given to candidates who can demonstrate equivalent skills sets and relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, ideally with modelling expertise and experience (excel, VBA, Prophet, ALS, R) and the ability to apply sound, evidenced, judgement to facts and data.
  • Good awareness of the financial dynamics of Equity Release and Annuities is preferred however the candidate must have a good working understanding of the key life company metrics and drivers.
  • Experience of securitisation, derivatives, and credit rating methodologies.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to governance committees and boards, with excellent stakeholder management and the ability to work across teams with A&ER and support .functions, including Risk/Finance/Legal to deliver solutions.
