Description

As a P&C Consultant in ICT, you will be responsible for managing/delivering on a variety of projects including reserve valuation, pricing, predictive analytics, RBC, IFRS 17 as well as merger and acquisitions for our P&C clients across South East Asia.

You will be responsible for reviewing the analysis and explaining the results, and will work closely with other analysts/consultants and the project lead to ensure timely delivery of projects. Many of the projects will involve using WTW's market leading actuarial software and techniques to produce customised solutions for our clients. In addition to project delivery, you will also be responsible for client communication, project management, and business development activities.

The Role
  • Lead as the workstream lead/project manager, ensuring the progress of the team against established project scope, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact to client teams on delivery of services, while managing client expectations
  • Deliver on projects to meet or exceed client expectations
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary consulting team to analyze issues and develop value-added solutions for the clients
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
  • Participate in business development activities and work with the team to develop go-to-market propositions. You may be supporting in business development activities across all our areas of expertise.
  • Draft statements of work, project plans and budgets involving multiple workstreams and client teams
  • Contribute to sales and marketing efforts by assisting in proposals, demos, presentations and pitches
  • Build strong relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels
  • Deliver high-quality work in compliance with Excellence standards and proactively look to improve the process
  • Have a strong understanding of the insurance industry across South East Asia

The Requirements
  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or any other related quantitative fields
  • 5 - 10 years of general insurance experience, preferably with some consulting or regional experience. Less experienced candidates may be considered for more junior positions
  • Good progress with actuarial exams from recognised International Actuarial Bodies
  • Strong understanding and working experience in IFRS 17, reserving, pricing and/or M&A
  • Familiar with insurance regulations and market in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and/or Indonesia
  • Familiarity with WTW's software (e.g. Emblem, Radar, ResQ and/or ResQ Financial Reporter) is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven experience in successfully managing multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
  • Self-driven achiever, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good time management skills, and able to manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently
  • Able to see the "big picture" and think beyond the task at hand and understand how one's work fits into the broader landscape
