The Defined Benefits and Actuarial Services practice within Consulting is composed of a dedicated group of nation-wide professionals with extensive experience in the fields of pension & savings and actuarial consulting. Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together As a Consultant within our Consulting practice, you are excited about understanding the needs of clients and using your skills and knowledge to help them solve their problems and develop our relationships with them. As a key member of your client teams, you will contribute to delivering high-quality work that meets the specific needs of clients. You will build strong relationships with external and internal clients, facing new opportunities with the guidance and expertise of experienced and caring colleagues, while training and mentoring junior employees. Your expertise, your keen eye to detail and your ability to manage projects will be essential for achieving our mission to create a brighter future for our clients and their workforce. What you'll do... Client Relationship Management: responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients; acting as a point of contact and trusted advisor, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Actuarial Consulting Services: assess the financial health of defined benefit pension plans, reviewing pension benefits, and providing strategic recommendations for plan design and restructures. This includes actuarial valuation for funding or accounting purposes, risk management, costings, regulatory compliance, employee education or communication, and plan administration, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the plan for clients' and their members. Team Leadership: support team engagement by providing mentorship, training and technical expertise to junior team members, fostering their professional development. Oversee the delivery of projects, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to timelines and budgets. You have... 6 to 10 years of experience in pension plan consulting Professional actuarial designation such as FCIA, ASA or FSA, or in the process of obtaining it Knowledge of the various pension schemes and actuarial standards of practice including pension plan evaluation, financial projections, risk assessment, and regulatory requirements Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; supporting the growth and mentorship of junior team members Solid organization, time management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to meet performance targets within a practice area Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint Excellent oral and written communication skills in French (proficiency in English is an added advantage) Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field What you bring...
