Description

We're a commercial motor insurer on a mission to save people time and money. From nationwide taxi fleets to self-employed scooter delivery riders, our customers are our driving force. We're making insurance fairer and more human for every one of them.

When we started back in 2016, we knew that traditional insurance held businesses back. It was too complicated, too expensive, and too time-consuming. So we set out to change things, building insurance solutions that empower professional drivers throughout the UK and Europe.

So far, we've raised over $200 million in funding. We've grown from a scrappy start-up into an industry-changing organisation, and there's plenty more to come.

That's where you come in...

Who we're looking for

We are seeking a talented Senior Pricing Analyst to be a key contributor to our Pricing, Tooling, and Modelling team. This role involves building sophisticated pricing models, conducting rigorous analyses, and providing actionable insights to optimise our insurance pricing strategies.

What you'll be working on
  • Develop and refine pricing models using statistical techniques and actuarial methods
  • Analyse insurance data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvements
  • Collaborate with the Live Pricing team to implement pricing changes effectively and manage day-to-day pricing operations
  • Communicate complex data concepts and model outcomes to a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvements by integrating new tools and technologies into the pricing process

About you
  • You'll have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
  • You'll have proven experience in commercial insurance pricing and modelling
  • You'll have a proficiency in SQL (we use Snowflake)
  • You'll have a familiarity with Python or strong R skills
  • You'll have some experience with Insurance Pricing tools, such as Akur8 or Emblem and Radar
  • You'll have an interest in Data Science & Machine Learning
  • You'll have an ability to interpret and draw conclusions from complex modelling results
  • You'll have excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • You'll have effective project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams

Nice To Have
  • Strong Python skills
  • Experience in motor insurance
  • Some experience in Data Science
  • Experience with software development in a data-intensive environment

How we work

We believe that teams work better when they have time to collaborate and space to get things done. We call it Zego Hybrid.

Our hybrid way of working is unique. We don't mandate fixed office days. Instead, we foster a flexible approach that empowers every Zegon to perform at their best. We cover the costs for all company-wide events (3 per year), and also provide a separate hybrid contribution to help pay towards other travel costs.
