Description

We are seeking a self-motivated professional with strong technical, analytical, and communication skills to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team. This team works with business stakeholders to plan, analyze, and prepare budgets and financial results to ensure financial activities are properly managed. This Financial Analyst role will work with highly visible leadership level information and will perform a blend of routine and ad-hoc financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis focused on total organization results.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare corporate financial reports, interpret results, analyze variances, and provide supporting commentary.
  • Manage ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests by collaborating with the appropriate areas, conducting analysis, and communicating results in an effective manner.
  • Assist with oversight of the consolidated forecast process, including managing the forecast workflow and inputs, preparing the consolidated financial forecasts, interpreting projections, analyzing variances, and preparing summary exhibits and commentary.
  • Monitor and report on industry and competitor financial analysis and projections.
  • Assist with preparing quarterly Board reporting and presentations, as well as corporate level presentations.
  • Assist with preparing and analyzing incentive budgets, targets, forecasts, and accruals.
  • Identify problems or process improvements and participate in various projects intended to address specific FP&A or cross-departmental needs/issues.


What it Takes
  • Bachelor's Degree in a financial services field is required (i.e. Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, etc.)
  • 2+ years of related work experience in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Ability to prepare financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knows and applies fundamental accounting, financial analysis, and financial control principles.
  • Ability to effectively identify, analyze, and resolve problems.
  • Applies analytical, research, and documentation skills.
  • Applied knowledge of PC-based business software, including word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation applications.
  • Ability to listen effectively and convey ideas through various forms of communication including written and verbal.
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, or the ability to work towards attaining the designation (i.e. 150 credits), is highly encouraged.
