CNA Insurance is seeking an Actuary to develop actuarial reserve strategies for Corporate, Mass Tort, and Asbestos & Pollution studies. These lines of business tend to be long tailed, include both well-defined and emerging hazards, and utilize non-standard actuarial techniques. It's an ideal area to work in if you want to exercise your judgement and creativity. These large, long-tailed cases are highly visible and important to the bottom line. In this role you will also collaborate with business partners and Actuarial leaders. You will also act as an advisor to Actuarial peers by providing actuarial analyses in support of influencing reserving decisions, claim, and loss portfolio transfer strategies. For those candidates still sitting for exams, you will participate in our Actuarial Education Program which provides competitive study support and exam raises. In this position, you will also enjoy a hybrid work schedule that consists of one day per week in one of our CNA Actuarial Hub offices (New York City, NY; Warren, NJ; Radnor, PA; Chicago, IL and San Francisco, CA) with the option to work the remainder of your week remotely. #LI-KP1 #LI-Hybrid In New York/California, the average base pay range for an Actuarial Consultant is $107,000 to $134,000. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. In certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In California, Colorado, Connecticut, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $49,000 to $98,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
