Description Poste chez Canadian Medical Protective Association • STUDENT, ACTUARIAL SERVICES CONTRIBUTING TO THE CMPA Actuarial Services supports the CMPA's mission and goals through proper valuation of the Association's liabilities and determination of CMPA's member fees. This is accomplished through detailed actuarial work following the Standards of Practice set by Canadian Institute of Actuaries. The team develops proprietary applications and data structures, builds actuarial models and processes, supports financial auditing and provides insight for the Association's funds and liability management. POSITION OVERVIEW We are looking for a dedicated individual who is eager to apply their actuarial or statistical knowledge and skills in a practical setting, tackling real-world problems, and contributing to informed decision-making within the CMPA. You'll be part of a team committed to handling challenging actuarial tasks in the area of medical professional liability, including but not limited to, loss reserving, fee setting, financial projections, scenario and stress testing, and insurance program assessment. This position provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and challenging environment, while providing a platform to significantly contribute to complex actuarial projects.
