Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead our Global Pricing Model Transformation Project. This critical role involves overseeing the end-to-end transition of pricing models from Excel to a governed digital platform to improve pricing capabilities, enhance efficiency, create consistency in pricing methodology, increased data capture, and adaptability in our insurance pricing strategies. This role will collaborate across many functions including IT, actuarial pricing, model developers, operations, product owners, Underwriting SME's and scrum masters. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management in an agile framework, change management, communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. This role can be located in any of our US office locations or UK office location.

Responsibilities include:

  • Project Management: Manage the end-to-end execution plan of the Pricing Model Transformation Project across all functional areas, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timelines, and budget constraints. Track and give regular updates on metrics and measures of success.
  • Agile scrum team engagement: Regular communication with agile scrum teams to ensure end to end communication plan is on track.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure successful implementation of new pricing models.
  • Key Dependencies: Work closely with PM's across the organization to highlight key dependencies and escalate where appropriate.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across departments including actuarial, underwriting, operations, product management, and IT to gather high level requirements, communicate project progress, and address concerns. Function as the escalation path for business issues and decisions.
  • Documentation and reporting: Create comprehensive documentation including project plans, progress reports, requirements specifications, and user guides to support ongoing maintenance and future enhancements.
  • Vendor Management: manage relationship with external vendors and/or consultants, ensuring deliverables are met on time.
  • Change Management: Develop and execute change management plans to facilitate smooth adoption of new pricing models by internal teams, ensuring adequate training and support.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality standards for pricing model development and implementation, conducting thorough testing and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement efforts by monitoring key performance indicators, soliciting feedback from stakeholders, documenting lessons learned, and identifying opportunities to improve.
  • Requirements Analysis: Work with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Experience
  • 5+ years Insurance Project Management
  • Proven experience managing complex technical projects, ideally within a software development or insurance pricing context.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Guidewire Policy Center and other Guidewire product experience a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.


Salary Range: $115,000 - $180,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
