About the role

We are looking for a Manager, Financial Reporting & Investor Relations to join our growing team!

The Manager would play a critical role in understanding various financial concepts with strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize information. This position will give you a complete view of Intact's financials and investor relations.

The successful candidate will join an award-winning Investor Relations program, work with a best-in-class senior management team, and regularly interact with leading investment professionals.

What you'll do here:
  • Develop key messaging surrounding Intact's quarterly earnings including drafting and developing quarterly press releases, the management discussion & analysis, conference call scripts and other key documents that support the published financial reports.
  • Execute the data collection, analysis, and creation of periodic feedback reports about Intact's stock price, perform Consensus compilation and analyses, as well as deliver concise insights taken from external sell-side research and the synthesis of investors' views.
  • In-depth review of peers in the Insurance Property and Casualty and broader Financial Services sector including financial reporting, conference messaging and other external communications; monitor and communicate (P&C insurance industry) trends.
  • Assist in preparing and coordinating presentations/reports to the Board of Directors, Senior Management as well as for external stakeholders (e.g., investor meetings, investor day, conferences, etc.).
  • Laise with various stakeholders within the organization leading up to quarterly earnings (e.g., Finance, Investment, Strategy, etc.) as well as collaborate with Communications, Government Relations, Legal and more to deliver IR-centric viewpoints as needed.
  • Ensure processes are documented and optimized, and that proper controls are in place.


What you bring to the table:
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial and accounting or actuarial experience
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or actuarial science, or any combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Professional designation (e.g., CPA, CA, CFA) is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial transactions and strategies in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of diplomacy and professionalism
  • Highly accountable and strong organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure during busy periods
  • Strong team player with ability to collaborate across teams and organizational levels
  • Ability to learn quickly and retain large amounts of information about the company's strategies, financials, and operating environment
  • Strong financial aptitude with excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Highly proactive and self-motivated.
  • Familiarity with the P&C Insurance sector a plus
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues and clients across the country.
