Accountabilities/Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive financial support to the international branches and subsidiaries of the MGG in accordance with the International Finance operating model
  • Production of statutory board reports and provide visibility to directors/ local country heads when and where required
  • Ensuring the accuracy and control over the ledgers and sub ledgers prepared by external bookkeepers.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the International corporate structure across the MGG
  • Provide financial support to both the Finance Manager and the wider business for overseas' entity set-ups and any corporate restructuring
  • Establish close working relationships with other M&G Finance teams to ensure the international elements of the business are correctly reflected
  • Work closely with the Tax team on joint International Finance/ Tax initiatives
  • Review and comment on annual accounts / regulatory / tax returns and feedback amendments and recommendations to external third-party service provider.
  • Work closely with the Tax team on joint International Finance/ Tax team initiatives
  • Review processes and ensure that where possible these are aligned, assess and (where relevant to the team) implement any process updates

Experience:
  • It is desirable for the candidate to have experience in financial reporting in non-UK jurisdictions and both financial reporting and operational finance disciplines. Experience of setting up overseas entities and working with third party service providers would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of SUN, Tagetik, Oracle ERP and Power BI an advantage.
  • Experience with SQL is desirable.


Educational Qualification:
  • Qualified accountant, with experience in an asset management financial reporting environment.
