Accountabilities/Responsibilities
  • Assist in the production of MGG statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and associated workbooks.
  • Prepare and maintain the statutory ledgers and sub ledgers for the assigned MGG entities.
  • Production of the statutory accounts for the assigned MGG entities.
  • Assist and support in the preparation of reports for the various Boards and Executive Committees.
  • Prepare and support in all audit queries (internal and external)
  • Create management reporting including management accounts and cost centre reports as well as responding to request for financial information in Request for Proposals
  • Conduct accounting research and assisting with the resolution of technical accounting issues.
  • Liaise with the relevant counterparts on the business side, International Tax and tax advisors on tax matters including the support of the preparation of the corporate tax and VAT returns. Communications with Group Finance Reporting staff will also be required.
  • Prepare reports to senior management.
  • Ad hoc projects including technology, process improvement, and new business integration.
  • Ensure compliance with current UK accounting standards, IFRS, and Group Head Office procedures to demonstrate a solid financial control regime.

Experience:
  • Knowledge, expertise and experience of the production and delivery of financial reporting in a Financial Services organisation. Asset management experience is also advantageous.
  • Sound knowledge of UK Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and local regulatory reporting standards applicable to Asset Managers.
  • Experience of dealing with complex transactions and associated accounting.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SQL is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of SUN, Tagetik, Oracle ERP and Power BI an advantage.


Educational Qualification:
  • Qualified accountant, with experience in an asset management financial reporting environment.
