Job Description:

Term Length: 4 months (Fall 2024)

Work Arrangement:

This co-op offers flexibility with the option to work in-person, remotely, or in a hybrid model. Remote or hybrid work must be within the province; working remotely from outside the province is not permitted.

Role:

Reporting to the Business Analyst, Data Governance, the Data Governance Analyst Co-op will support the Finance Operations Data Governance team. Duties include documenting data dictionaries, data flows, data lineage, data profiling, and assisting with project management. Experience working with the Informatica data quality tool will also be gained.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in implementing a data governance roadmap

- Develop code within Informatica to profile data, identify quality issues, and cleanse data

- Create data dictionaries, flows, and lineage for ingestion into Collibra

Requirements:

- Experience working in fast-paced environments

- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, or Finance

- Strong presentation and communication skills

- Analytical and detail-oriented approach

- Self-motivation and excellent time management

- Proficiency in VBA, Python, or SQL

- Ability to quickly learn new coding languages, technologies, and processes

- Experience with coding, Tableau, or financial reporting is beneficial

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.

Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
