You will be a key member of our Actuarial & Risk Modelling Services practice in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland working on iconic New Zealand and overseas clients and assisting us to grow our business. We provide consulting as well as audit support to insurers, crown enterprises, superannuation schemes, banks and other corporate and public sector clients, helping them make financial sense of an uncertain future. We're a team of trusted business advisors who work alongside our clients, building long lasting relationships.This is a fixed term, full-time opportunity, minimum 37.5 hours per week

The key responsibilities of this role are:
  • Working with clients in the private (primarily financial services) sector or the public sector, depending on your preferred location
  • Supporting the delivery of complex actuarial-related projects across the team to deliver quality outcomes for clients
  • Being a part of a vibrant consulting team and, if desired, contribute to the team's future direction through business development in areas you are passionate about to make your own career

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience
  • Four or more years professional experience as an Actuary for a global professional services firm.
  • Experience in the Actuarial Audit of life and health insurance companies with respect to local GAAP, Solvency II and IFRS17
  • Exceptional quantitative analysis and technical skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a quantitative area such as Mathematics or Actuarial Science.
  • A pragmatic approach and desire to provide the best outcomes possible for your clients
  • A high level of energy and motivation with a desire to achieve
  • an interest in wider areas of actuarial practice, including banking, health and analytics
  • Prior consulting experience is essential
