Description

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

l Define product strategy which takes into account the diversity of segments and channel culture differences through the proposition and design.

l Implement the defined product strategy with execution excellence.

l Lead & drive the execution of new product proposition & strategic initiatives including the Actuarial technical input.

l Formulating local Product Development and Product Pricing Policy to ensure overall profitability and Value for Money for Customers

l Contribute to AOP targets by setting and managing to clear goals and metrics in coordination with Finance and Planning

l Drive new organic and inorganic revenue growth for HSBC Life China through various partnership and platform

l Responsible for sales and service process for new product launch

l Responsible for the management of the different existing products and identifying/launching initiatives (e.g. product shelving, pricing, channel activation, channel optimization) to monitor risks/FVE and within market to drive sales, penetration and PBT.

l Manage day-to-day product management responsibilities and actions to comply with regulatory and HSBC global standards requirements.

l Conduct analysis on existing customer portfolio, monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor movement to identify business potential

l Responsible for market intelligence, industry trends, change in regulatory framework and assess the potential impact to business

l Drive appropriate market & customer research to monitor needs and buying behavior of the company's key customer segments

l Interface with Global head of products and actuarial to ensure alignment with Group Strategy and to leverage global best practices.

l Coordination with Strategic partner leads to gain synergy relative to product set and channel opportunities.

l Responsible for the BAU relationships with Reinsurers and support Chief Actuary office in relationship with the regulator

l Contribute to and influence industry developments in China through the building and deepening relationships with regulators at the regional and country level

l Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets

l Develop, coach, manage to drive for a high performance team

l Provide thought leadership in financial and risk related matters

l Lead country product team to achieve AOP results

l Keep abreast and be knowledgeable of, and abide by local regulations and practices, legislations and Group operating models to avoid infringement of laws, regulations and Global Standards.

l Lead the implementation and oversight of policy and governance frameworks, procedures, practices and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance.

l Your appointment will be subject to regulatory approval by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission ("CBIRC")/China Securities Regulatory Commission ("CSRC"). Upon approval, you will be classified as China Local Material Risk Taker (MRT) and the MRT terms and conditions specified in HBCN/RRB/HACN/INSH/IBCN Variable Pay Deferral Guide will be applicable to any variable pay that may be awarded to you.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

l Over 15 years of broad executive experience in senior management positions of insurance business.

l Proven insurance experience and leadership in insurance business of China

l Recognized insurance professional with industry standing in the market, preferably holding relevant insurance professional qualification

l Possess strategic thinking, strong commercial thinking and business acumen

l Courageous leadership and be able to lead a group of senior leaders to deliver business objectives

l Excellent judgment and decision-making skills - able to make business aligned and timely decisions

l Able to create a positive working relationship with senior Group executives internally and related partners & governmental bodies externally

l Customer centric
