Be in the lead of executive level financial and business performance reports, and help drive the success of Nationale Nederlanden!

What you are going to do

You will analyse the financial results of NN Group and Dutch business units. Depending on your interests, you may focus on our banking or life and non-life insurance business. Working intensively with both group and business unit management, you will be challenging results and proposing actions for improvement.

Your main responsibilities:
  • Performing the financial analyses and preparing reports for the NN Group Management Board using Solvency II, IFRS-17 and sales metrics
  • Preparing press releases and analyst presentations in collaboration with Investor Relations
  • Providing insights into the financial performance of NN Group and its business units geared to business planning, operating capital generation, and backward and forward-looking measures for driving business and financial performance
  • Taking the lead on various projects related to financial business performance improvements and change initiatives; keeping a helicopter view over NN Group's business units

What we offer

NN invests in an inclusive, inspiring work environment and in skills and competences for the future. We match this with employee benefits that are in line with what is needed today and in the future. This way, we offer our employees the opportunity to get the best out of themselves. We offer you:
  • A monthly salary between €5.597 and €7.996 (based on 36 hours), depending on your knowledge and experience
  • A holiday allowance and a 13th month, paid with your monthly salary
  • A collective pension scheme with a personal contribution of only 6%
  • 194.4 hours of leave, based on a 36-hour week (that's 27 vacation days for a 5-day working week) and a Diversity Day
  • Plenty of opportunities for training and development
  • An NS Business Card and/or compensation for commuting costs
  • An allowance for home internet use and setting up your home office

Who you are

You take a helicopter view and don't lose sight of the larger picture when diving into the details of financial reporting. Even though you work independently with internal stakeholders, you collaborate closely with colleagues to achieve meaningful team results. Harnessing your analytical skills and your considerable experience with Excel, you produce actionable insights for stakeholders. You can also effectively communicate your findings and complex issues to senior management group and business unit level, convincing them of your advice to improve performance. In addition you have:
  • A master's degree in econometrics, actuarial science, finance, economics, accountancy or another relevant subject
  • Demonstrable experience of working in the insurance sector, preferably extensive experience of Solvency II and IFRS-17 and translation to business performance and planning
  • A minimum of 7 years of work experience. Experience with leading and contributing to (financial change) projects related to for example business improvement initiatives, benefit tracking, IFRS-17 or Solvency II
  • Experience with reporting of financial performance metrics and concepts to executives
  • An excellent command of spoken and written English. Some command of Dutch would stand you in good stead when communicating with your colleagues in our Dutch business units

Who you will work with

Based at our office in The Hague, you will be working in our eleven-strong international Performance and Analytics team. Along with five driven colleagues, you will analyse and report on the performance of our Dutch business units and providing the overall Group view. It's challenging work, but you're not on your own! We are a fun, friendly and supportive team, helping each other and sharing knowledge. To connect, we work at the office every Thursday. Even during peak periods we ensure a healthy work-life balance.
