About the Team Part of pricing & underwriting services team with around 80+ members between Actuarial and Underwriting teams located in Bangalore. This role will be supporting Southeast Asia and India markets (SEAI) for reinsurance pricing - actuarial and experience studies(ES). Objective of Role To support the SEAI Pricing teams, by providing technical expertise in respect of product pricing, experience studies and other initiatives. Key Accountabilities Support the team's objective of delivering high quality ES in a timely manner to the cross-functional teams Support the pricing actuaries in pricing treaties for SEAI market; responsibilities will focus on Open Treaty Reviews Provide ES requirements, Quote support/advisory recommendation for various Lines of Business and maintenance of pricing Terms of Trade. Work effectively with a cross-functional team of experts from client markets, underwriting, and claims towards assessing the risk associated with a treaty or opportunity. Provide technical, research and project management input for product development initiatives and pricing policy. Always ensuring the adherence to pricing and ES guidelines, standard of practice and standard methodologies, and their consistent application. Mentoring the junior associates of the team. Key Skills & Knowledge Excellent technical knowledge in all areas of pricing, experience studies and product development and fundamental knowledge of the products and services offered by insurers/reinsurers. Ability to apply actuarial judgement in a commercial environment. Good understanding of actuarial standard methodologies. Organization, prioritization and planning skills. Knowledge of L&H actuarial modelling and data analytical software's. Candidate Requirements Strong actuarial experience in insurance/reinsurance sector, ideally 3+ years of experience preferably pricing or ES. Experience in actuarial product design, pricing & ES, including use of any actuarial pricing tools will be an advantage. Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
