Description

Particular focus of the role includes:
  • Responsible for the SII quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Responsible for the analysis of SCR, MCR and Risk Margin.
  • Support in the preparation of production related files and controls.
  • To understand and provide a resolution to queries raised by analysis and ensuring timely closure of responses.
  • Provide support to analysis teams by providing requisite information.
  • Timely and accurate reporting for SII.
  • To understand the tools completely and comply with changes when needed.
  • Provide support to development team in End to End testing of all the SII production tools and Datawarehouse development.
  • Responsible for understanding SII regulation and implementing the new regulatory requirement in our production process.
  • Provide support in all the audit related activities.
  • Develop strong working relationships and strategic partnerships with internal clients to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist development team to support in all development activities and ensure critical focus on smooth SII actuarial valuation throughout the course of the reporting year.


Job Responsibilities

To support the delivery of the following objectives:

  • Timely and accurate reporting of SII numbers using all the requisite tools such as ACE Tool, Market Risk Tool, Premium Tool, Tax Tool and Datawarehouse.
  • Timely resolution of queries from analysis teams.
  • To develop deep understanding of out SII production tools to ensure error free reporting.
  • Run all the controls in time to ensure that all results are correct and accurate to the best possible level.
  • Explanation of changes in the impact on our key results of Solvency Capital Requirement, Minimum capital requirement and Risk Margin on quarterly basis and key drivers for the change.
  • Communicating well with the external stakeholders


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of Position:

  • Accurate and timely SII reporting with high standards.
  • Execution of second-line data validation and completeness checks to required actuarial and audit standards.
  • Contributing towards good team morale and positive team engagement and professional development.
  • Ensuring excellent communication between Noida-based team and stakeholders based in different geographical locations.
  • Taking demonstrable ownership of work; clearly flagging any issues and goal delivery concerns to senor leadership team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education
  • A bachelors or masters university degree with a heavy mathematical focus (e.g. mathematics, engineering, physics, computer science, financial economics)


Experience
  • Around 2-3 years of actuarial experience, 4-5 Actuarial exams, with interest to be a fellow with relevant reporting experience


Knowledge and skills (general and technical)

Essential experience, skills and competencies:

  • Meticulous in the validation, presentation and communication of results;
  • Respectful of deadlines, discipline and process, yet flexible and pragmatic within a growing business;
  • Capable of working autonomously or with a team, and of balancing own initiative with advice from others;
  • Able to navigate through complex problems and organisations to achieve results and deliver solutions;
  • Able to communicate complex issues to non experts;
  • Experience of Regulatory Reporting, IFRS, and EV/VNB reporting;
  • Demonstrable experience of insurance products sold by MetLife globally being a distinct advantage;
  • A thorough knowledge of actuarial reporting across a wide range of product types: unit linked; creditor, individual protection and group business;
  • Recent practical experience of financial / actuarial modelling systems (Prophet would be a plus);
  • Excellent Excel/VB/ VBA skills. (Python/ R coding skills would be a plus)

The wage range for applicants for this position is [the more specific figure (for example (only): $80,000) or range within which the hiring manager reasonably expects to hire (for example (only): $70,000 - $85,000)]. The role is eligible for incentive compensation under the sales incentive plan for your position.
