Your Role

The Actuarial Provider Strategies team is responsible for the financial oversight, forecasting, and development of payment models and fee schedules for Blue Shield's provider partners. The Executive Assistant, Experienced will report to the Vice President of Actuarial Provider Strategies. In this role you will be responsible for the planning and implementing of the team's administrative needs, work collaboratively with the Vice President of Actuarial Provider Strategies to ensure that meetings are prioritized, and timelines are kept. In addition, you will support and coordinate with the broader Actuarial team on cross-functional meetings, team building events, and all hands meetings.

Your Work

In this role, you will:
  • Carry out administrative, analytical or procedural tasks with high degree of autonomy
  • Handle administrative matters, in the absence of, or on behalf of, the manager
  • Provide administrative oversight of third-party relationships through implementation of designated systems, routine monitoring of performance, and tracking of goods and/or services
  • Serve as administrative liaison between manager and direct reports and others within and outside the organization
  • Manage day-to-day organization of executive's calendar, appointments, meetings, and related schedule
  • Provide direct administrative support to the Actuarial Directors reporting to the Vice President of Actuarial Services
  • Coordinate with and support the other Executive Assistants on the Actuarial team


Qualifications

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 3 years of prior relevant experience
  • Requires prior executive support at a large company
  • Moderate proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • A desire and curiosity to understand the business details and the stakeholders that the Actuarial Provider Strategies team supports


Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 71280.00 to $ 99770.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
